Rick’s sculptures at The Cooper Gallery in Noosa

Noosa’s contemporary fine arts gallery, The Cooper Gallery,  now has several of Rick’s smaller metal sculptures on display. The Cooper Gallery is located at First Floor, 9 Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, Queensland, 4567.

Rick Clise joins NAVA board

Rick has very recently joined the Board of Management of NAVA, The National Association for the Visual Arts Ltd.

As the NAVA website explains, ‘NAVA is Australia’s peak body representing and advancing the professional interests of the Australian visual arts and craft sector. NAVA undertakes advocacy and lobbying, research, policy and project development, data collection and analysis. It also provides expert advice, resources, professional representation and development and a range of other services.’

Rick looks forward to representing the interests of artists, and contributing to the success of NAVA, as a Board member.

“General Drawing 1A – Circle Practice” selected for Yering Station Awards

Rick’s painted metal sculpture ‘General Drawing 1A – Circle Practice’ has been selected as a finalist for the 2008 Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition and Awards. The exhibition opens Sunday 26 October at 3:00 pm and concludes Sunday 7 December 2008. Yering Station is located at 38 Melba Highway, Yarra Glen, Victoria (on the outskirts of Melbourne).

Rick’s tubular steel sculpture ‘Aim High’ was a finalist in the 2006 Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition and Awards.
